*INTET is named Opera of the Year at the Danish Reumert Awards in June 2021
*Season 2021-22 announced:
In the coming season at The Royal Danish Theatre, Robert will conduct Tosca, La Bohème, The Nutcracker, Seven Deadly Sins, and the world premiere of Louise Alenius’ opera Manualen.
Alongside his work in Copenhagen, Robert is active as a guest conductor. Plans for the season 21/22 include debuts at the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, in the French premiere of Hans Abrahamsen’s The Snow Queen; with the Orchestre de Montpellier, with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, and at the Luzern Opera with Pascal Dusapin’s Perelà, as well as a return to the Staatstheater Mainz for the German premiere of Haukur Tómasson’s Gudrun’s Song.
As well as his love for the orchestral, opera and ballet repertoire, Robert is especially dedicated to working with music and composers of our time. Robert’s close relationship with the Athelas Sinfonietta sees the release later in 2021 of a CD of the music of Anders Nordentoft, and several planned concerts of new music.
